Hisar Hospital Intercontinental has followed its quality policy, mission and vision since the day it was founded, and the Emergency Department, one of the most important departments within them, is the place of admission, diagnosis and first treatment for all kinds of emergency conditions.

In our hospital’s Emergency Department, 21st-century medical technology is applied continuously for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, and our emergency physicians, nurses and allied health personnel constantly receive visual, hands-on and written in-service training to keep their knowledge up to date.

First Intervention Starts at the Door

Patients’ vital signs are monitored continuously with mobile bedside monitors that can be brought to wherever each patient is, and the patient is always referred as quickly as possible for consultation with a physician specialised in the relevant field or holding an academic title. Thanks to the location of the entrance area, it is easy to see when a patient arrives at our hospital in too poor a condition to walk, and intervention begins at the door with a stretcher or wheelchair.

Our department has a resuscitation room equipped with every type of emergency medication and medical equipment that may be needed, a trauma room directly connected to the office of the Director of the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department, an injection and dressing room and a minor surgery room. In addition, there is an 8-bed examination/observation system with bedside technology that allows the physician to examine the patient at the bedside without carrying any medical instruments.

Thanks to the experience and foreign language skills of our hospital’s physicians and staff, personnel who speak English, Arabic, Russian and German are always available at our institution.

When Should You Go to the Emergency Department?

The principle of Emergency Medicine is to diagnose a person (patient) with health problems defined as emergencies as quickly as possible, to provide treatment, or to refer them to the medical specialties required for treatment. In addition, all symptoms of illness that begin suddenly require emergency admission.

Conditions requiring emergency admission:

• Internal or external bleeding caused by trauma or occurring suddenly

• Migraine and/or headaches accompanied by vomiting or loss of consciousness

• Hypertension

• Irregular heartbeat

• Sudden-onset nausea

• Pressure or pain in the chest or back

• Falls from a height or blows in children

• Sudden shortness of breath

• Any condition causing loss of consciousness

• Sudden paralysis

• Asthma attacks, acute respiratory problems

• High fever

• Onset of labour (rupture of the membranes)

• Spinal and lower extremity fractures

• Eye injuries

JCI (Joint Commission International) and other international accreditation bodies regularly audit our department, which has also voluntarily taken on the obligation to provide quality healthcare at international standards and continues to provide uninterrupted, scientific and patient satisfaction-focused service 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
