He was born in 1956. He was graduated from School of Medicine, Hacettepe University in 1980.
He was awarded the title of Internist in School of Medicine, Çukurova University in 1985.
He completed Gastroenterology fellowship in School of Medicine, Marmara University in 1997.

He participated in numerous local and international congresses and he authored numerous papers, articles and book chapters in native and foreign languages. He is member of Turkish Society of Gastroenterology, Turkish Association for the Study of Liver and Gastrointestinal Motility Association.
