PROF. Alaattin ÖZEN, M.D.

Prof. Alaattin ÖZEN started his medical education at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and completed his medical education in 2005. Afterwards, he completed his specialization training at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology between 2006 – 2010 and became a Radiation Oncology specialist. After completing his 2-year State Service Obligation in the institution where he received his specialization, he worked as an invited researcher in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, University of North Carolina, United States of America between March 2013 and February 2014 to conduct research on Brachytherapy Treatment in Gynecological Tumors. After returning home, he started his duty as a Faculty Member in Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology as of September 2014 and continued as Assoc. Prof. after March 2018.

Brachytherapy applications are of particular interest, primarily in the treatment of different cancers. He has experienced different radiotherapy applications throughout his education and business life, and he treats different cancers in routine practice in line with current developments all over the world.

During his time at the university, he gave lectures on different topics in associate, undergraduate, graduate and medical specialty education, worked as both manager and researcher in many projects, and his name was included in many articles, papers and book chapters.

He is married and the father of a daughter.
