HOSPITALS WHERE DOCTOR WORKS
- Hisar Hospital Intercontinental
Assoc. Dr. Cenk Acar completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and his specialization in Urology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Urology Department. Between June 2009 and November 2012, he served as an assistant associate professor at the Urology Department of Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine. From May 2012 to November 2012, he completed a 6-month fellowship in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for urological cancers at the “Netherland Cancer Institute-AVL hospital”. He started working at Acıbadem Ankara Hospital in November 2012. In September 2014, he obtained the title of “Associate Professor” after completing the necessary academic qualifications. After working at a private hospital in Ankara between 2015-2020, he continued his services in his private practice in Ankara until he joined Hisar Intercontinental Hospital in 2020.
In 2015, he chaired the organizing committee for the first course on ‘Fluorescent Imaging in Urological Surgeries’ in Turkey. In the following years, he chaired many courses on fluorescent imaging in urology and multidisciplinary courses under the umbrella of Urology Associations. In 2017, he started applying Bipolar Prostate Enucleation in his clinic for benign prostate hyperplasia for the first time in Turkey. He later began to use his increasing experience in surgeries such as HOLEP and THUFLEP.
Throughout his career, Dr. Acar has particularly focused on; Urological Cancers, Urinary System Stones, HOLEP, THUFLEP, Endourology, Robotic and Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries, and has signed many successful operations. To date, he has performed over 500 urological cancer surgeries, over 250 HOLEP surgeries, countless endoscopic stone surgeries, and numerous robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.
