Op. Dr. Yalçın İşcan graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2005. He completed his residency training in 2010 at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, Department of Ophthalmology.
Between 2011 and 2015, he worked at Batman Regional Hospital, where he performed thousands of eye surgeries.
From 2015 to 2025, he served at Private Batman Dünya Hospital. During this period, he performed numerous operations including cataract surgery, corneal cross-linking, strabismus surgery, pterygium surgery, refractive surgery, oculoplastic procedures, lacrimal duct obstruction surgery, and corneal transplantation, helping the clinic become a regional reference center in ophthalmology.
Since 2023, while continuing his work at Batman Dünya Hospital, he has also been providing services two days a week at Pendik Medical Park Hospital and Kudret Eye Hospital Istanbul.
In addition, starting from 2020, Dr. İşcan has been actively involved in R&D activities. He founded a startup company within a technopark and developed an artificial intelligence–based “Red Eye Diagnostic Support System.” He continues to conduct R&D projects in ophthalmic software and medical device development.
Dr. İşcan is also engaged in academic research and has numerous national and international scientific publications.
