New Skin in the New Year with Needle-Free Skin Rejuvenation

Would you like to renew the skin that most reveals your age and makes you fight against your biological age, before the new year begins? And without any needles…

We spoke with Hisar Hospital Intercontinental Dermatology Specialist Dr. Funda Ataman about needle-free skin rejuvenation methods…

If you have started to frequently ask yourself why your skin has aged so much, it is worth taking our questionnaire…

-Am I eating insufficiently and unbalanced?

-Is it time for me to stop smoking and drinking alcohol?

-Have I overdone sun exposure?

-Do I have unhealthy environmental conditions?

-Am I under too much stress?

-Is it time for me to have my hormones checked?

-Have I been feeling too hopeless, unhappy and pessimistic lately?

If your answer is yes to some of these questions, don't panic! It means your skin is due to be pampered.

If You Are Curious About the Signs of Aging…

In the physical examinations we perform on our patients, we try to observe the signs of aging by examining the following items one by one.

-If you have started to notice fine and deep wrinkles,

-If your skin has started to dry out,

-If you think your skin has lost its elasticity,

-If sagging has started,

-If you see brown, white and purple spots when you look in the mirror,

-If you feel that your skin has become rough when you touch it,

-If you see that your skin has lost its radiance and become dull; if your answer is yes to all or some of these questions, your skin has given signs that it has started to age. Do not panic immediately; however, take your precautions as soon as possible. Because aging impairs the appearance of your skin as well as its function. Wound healing becomes difficult. Physical, chemical and microbiological agents cause damage to the skin more easily. Skin cancers are seen more frequently in old age.

If You Want to Look Younger Without a Needle, Try These Methods…

-Microdermabrasion: The process of abrading the skin using crystals such as aluminum oxide and sodium chloride. While the wrinkled, spotted, dull outer skin is peeled off and removed, collagen and elastic tissue production is also stimulated. This method is also used in the treatment of tattoos and scars.

-Chemical Peeling: The application of alpha hydroxy acids in increasing concentrations with each treatment to the skin, and carrying out the peeling process. Using retinoic acid creams before and after the procedure increases the effectiveness of the method.

-Skin Rejuvenating Laser Treatments: Various lasers are used to treat wrinkles, sagging, spots and scars. In our hospital, we use Pulse-dye laser for this purpose.

-Hormone Therapy: It has been determined that creams containing estradiol and estriol after menopause increase keratinocyte count and dermal thickness.

-Fillers: Although they have become widespread in recent years, filler substances have been preferred for approximately 100 years to correct contours, reduce wrinkles and scars, and enlarge the lips and cheeks. Substances such as hyaluronic acid, or the patient's own fat tissue, are used as filler material.

-Botox: Botulinum exotoxin is used as an easy and quick method in the treatment of dynamic wrinkles of the face and neck, primarily glabellar lines between the brows, forehead lines, and bunny lines on the nose. It ranks first among the procedures used for rejuvenation. These methods are combined according to the patient's needs. For example, after the wrinkles caused by dynamic brows are eliminated with botox injection, the skin can be renewed with laser, and then chemical peeling can be performed.

Home Skin Rejuvenation Tips

-If you want to rejuvenate your skin: Let milk sour, apply it to your face for half an hour, and rinse. Cleopatra’s sour-milk bath is known to have an anti-aging effect. The lactic acid in soured milk is an alpha hydroxy acid, and its effect on skin rejuvenation is well known.

-If your skin is dry: Get glycerin from the pharmacy and squeeze 10 drops of lemon into 20 milliliters. Apply it to your face and leave it on. Apply it before going to bed and leave it on until morning. In this way, your skin will regain and retain its natural moisture, and will have a healthier and brighter appearance.

-If you have oily skin: Mix a bowl of yogurt and a teaspoon of honey. Apply it to your face for half an hour. It restores the excessive and unwanted shine caused by oiliness to its natural state.
