What Is iLASIK?

iLASIK is a personalized LASIK method used to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. In this treatment, both the creation of the corneal flap and the reshaping of the cornea are performed with lasers.

How Is It Performed?

  • Detailed measurements of the eye are taken and a personalized treatment plan is created (wavefront analysis).

  • A thin flap is prepared in the cornea with a femtosecond laser.

  • The cornea is reshaped with an excimer laser and the flap is placed back in position.

The procedure is performed under anesthetic eye drops and is usually completed in a short time.

Who Is It Suitable For?

It can generally be performed on people who are at least 18 years old, whose eye prescription has not changed in the last year, and whose corneal thickness and structure are suitable. Eligibility is determined after a detailed examination by an ophthalmologist.
