ASSIST. PROF. HASAN HÜSEYİN KILIÇ, M.D.

Dr. Assistant Professor Hasan Hüseyin Kılıç completed his medical education at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine. After approximately 3 years of practicing as an emergency physician and family doctor at a family health center, he specialized in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the Health Sciences University Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Health Application and Research Center. After 4 years of residency, he has served in various public institutions as an Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialist.

Throughout his career, he has held responsibilities such as the head of the intensive care unit and the palliative care service. In 2018 and 2019, he was invited as a speaker to the national congress organized by TARD (Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation). He has made oral presentations at international and national scientific meetings, published posters, and published articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals. He has participated in symposiums and courses related to his field, authored chapters in two books, and served as a co-editor in one international book. He translated a chapter in the 9th edition of the textbook “Miller’s Anesthesia,” which is considered the main resource in the field of Anesthesiology. He has also served as a researcher in a completed Scientific Research Project (BAP).

In June 2020, he began his academic career at Doğuş University with the title of Dr. Assistant Professor and continues to serve as a faculty member in the Department of Anesthesia.

He has interests in spinal and epidural anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, painless (epidural) normal delivery, pediatric anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, geriatric anesthesia, orthopedic anesthesia, and intensive care. He successfully performs interventional procedures such as ultrasound-guided axillary block, infraclavicular block, interscalene block, sciatic block, psoas compartment block, femoral block, popliteal block, pectoralis (PECS I-II), and transversus abdominis plane block (TAPB); as well as central venous catheterization, hemodialysis catheter placement, epidural catheter placement, epidural steroid injection, ECMO cannulation (and ECMO follow-up), and percutaneous tracheostomy.
