Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan BABACAN completed his undergraduate, specialty, and subspecialty training at GATA Military Medical Faculty/Ankara. After becoming a specialist in Child Health and Diseases, he worked for two years in the field of Social Pediatrics, where healthy baby follow-ups and vaccination tracking were conducted. He then completed his subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and continued his work in the field of pediatric blood and cancer diseases. In addition to treating children suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, and other blood disorders, he has been serving in the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit for 13 years, performing Allogeneic (unrelated and family-related), Autologous (from the patient), and Haploidentical (partially HLA-matched) hematopoietic stem cell transplants. In 2018, he received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
