Psycho-Oncology
Professional psychological support for patients and their families during cancer diagnosis and treatment.
About the Department
The scope, approach and highlighted services of the department.
Psycho-oncology is a specialty that addresses the emotional, psychological and social difficulties that can arise with a cancer diagnosis and its treatment. At Hisar Hospital Intercontinental, our oncology psychologist provides psychological support to patients and their families from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.
Individual sessions address concerns such as anxiety, fear, low mood, sleep problems and adjusting to the illness; when needed, family members are included in the process through family sessions. Psychological support is planned in collaboration with the oncology team as a complement to medical treatment.
