Surgical methods
Botox and fillers, alone or together, can be used especially for treating wrinkles in the facial area. Fillers may be hyaluronic acid, collagen, hydroxyapatite or polymethylmethacrylate based. In addition, fat injection obtained from the person’s own tissues, stem cell injection, PRP (Platelet rich plasma) and various tissue cocktails are also used to provide a youthful skin appearance. Various skin resurfacing techniques are used for wrinkles, spots, acne scars and pores. The aim here is to remove the rough outer layer of the skin to achieve healthier, smoother, brighter, spot-free and hydrated skin. For chemical peeling, “Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)” containing glycolic, lactic and fruit acids are most commonly preferred. AHAs are natural acids obtained from fruits and other foods and are used as superficial peeling agents. Medium-depth peeling is performed with TCA (trichloroacetic acid), and deeper peeling with phenol (carbolic acid); these treatment methods differ from one another. They must be performed by a specialist physician.
What is the place of surgical treatment in skin rejuvenation?
Despite all medical treatments, some wrinkles, skin sagging and spots may require surgical treatment. In such cases, surgical procedures such as face lift, neck lift, brachioplasty (arm lift) and thigh lift are performed. One of the skin rejuvenation areas that has recently started to attract attention is hand aesthetics. Especially for hand skin aesthetics, we perform chemical peeling, laser skin resurfacing and fat tissue injections. Superficial blue veins can be eliminated with an injection method called sclerotherapy.
