Born in 1960, Prof. Dr. Bekir Sami Uyanık completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1984, and subsequently became a Clinical Biochemistry Specialist in 1994, Associate Professor in 1996, and Professor in 2003.
He has received the following awards:
- Young Scientist Support Award from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) at the 11th National Biochemistry Congress (1992),
- Successful Poster at the III. National Biomedical Science and Technology Symposium, Uludağ University (1996),
- Excellent Poster at The 18th International Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, Japan (2002).
He has 43 research articles in international journals, 55 research articles in national journals, and 121 conference presentations both abroad and domestically.
