Neonatal Intensive Care

Our unit's team includes a neonatal intensive care specialist, a nursing team and our breastfeeding counsellor. Together with other medical specialties, our team provides all the medical and surgical services our babies need, 24 hours a day. In our unit, all the treatments our babies need are provided, and families are kept informed at every stage of the treatment process. During the intensive care stay, families are able to spend time with their babies, so that our little ones feel their parents' affection as well as receiving medical support.

Capacity of Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

• Our unit has a total of 8 beds, with:

• 6 incubators

• 4 ventilators

• 2 open care beds (radiant warmers)

• 8 patient monitors capable of tracking all vital functions, with central monitoring of vital signs

• 2 transport incubators with fully equipped ventilators

• An isolation room

• Pyxis medication management system

• 6 phototherapy devices

• Through the pendant system, each incubator has 2 oxygen, 2 medical air and 2 suction outlets.

• 24-hour patient transport service with ventilator-equipped incubators

Our unit also accepts babies from other hospitals. During the transport of a sick baby from another hospital, an intensive care environment can be provided by a team consisting of 1 pediatrician and 2 nurses. Intensive care services for infants and children who need intensive care due to poisoning, accidents, surgery or serious illness are provided in single-patient intensive care rooms within the 20-bed general intensive care unit.
