Complete blood counts are performed using fully automated blood count systems with 22 parameters, and peripheral blood smear preparations are evaluated by a hematology specialist. Coagulation tests such as PT, aPTT, D-Dimer, etc. are also performed in this unit using an automated coagulation analyzer. Similarly, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) test is also performed and reported using automated systems.
